On the occasion of the 11the edition of the “Chemins de Photos” festival present from until September 30, 2024 across a large part of the Aude territory, the exhibition “I love my village” can be discovered at the Maison de la Région until June 27.

Five main themes

This photographic exhibition is composed around five themes: the landscapes that make up our communities, the joy of living in the country and the portraits, the little things that make up our countryside, major developments and events and finally around the memories of generations and life stories. They show innocence, benevolence and life in certain villages in Aude, notably in Lauragais, Malepère, the village of Ferran, Génerville, Plavilla and Pech-Luna. “I exhibit here my photos which are related to the landscapes of the region, particularly in the fields and vineyards near my home. I like to take photos a little randomly while I walk in the Aude countryside in order to show the beauty of landscapes and rural villages”, explains Hervé Baïs, one of the 80 author-photographers participating in the festival.

The exhibition “I love my village” is on display from June 3 to 27 at the Maison de ma Région in Carcassonne.
