In recent years in France we have hoped that the political management of our country would finally change, that the current emergencies of social inequalities, climate change, the decline of biodiversity, to name but a few, would be taken seriously into consideration.
Hope is finally here, with the New Popular Front (NFP), made concrete by the political program which has just been published. An ambitious and humane program which is committed to reducing inequalities and truly building the ecological transition.
But the attacks are already coming: if it is implemented, it would be the ruin of the country according to some, unfeasible according to others, etc. Thus according to MEDEF this program would be “dangerous for the economy”. For financial speculators perhaps. But not for “the economy”.
Let’s say it straight away: this program is well put together, coherent and fair, unlike others.
Indeed, firstly there is not a single “economy”, the MEDEF should know that. Secondly, it is very dependent on political choices. The NFP provides another way of making the country economically strong, with reduced inequalities, an ecological transition in action, and of course in a truly democratic framework. Renowned economists say so, and there are many of them. Of course they do not believe in capitalism, nor in “trickle down”, unlike other economists, who have the ear of the detractors of the NFP.
What is at stake in this campaign is a choice between:
– The withdrawal of identity, a xenophobic and archaic project, which has proven in the past to be dangerous for the country,
– Liberalism which destroys the planet and public services, enriches the richest and impoverishes the others,
– The social and ecological progress project, supported by the NFP.
In conclusion, the Bien Vivre à Chalon association (BVAC), whose social and ecological progress is precisely part of the battles it has been waging since the 2020 municipal elections, provides firm support to the New Popular Front.
This is why BVAC calls on each voter to vote for the candidate nominated by the New Popular Front in their constituency.
