13th edition of the industry week from November 18 to 24, 2024. Discover the program of events organized in Ariège.
During these 13 In recent years, industry week has enabled a large number of companies to raise awareness of the professions in this sector. This year, for the 12th edition, the objective remains the same: to make this area attractive to young people and promote diversity in professions.
Led by the General Directorate of Enterprises of the Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, Industry Week, the 13th edition of which takes place from November 18 to 24, 2024, contributes each year to changing the view of young people and the general public on the industry and its professions, thanks to the organization of events throughout the national territory.
With industry, create your futurethe theme of the 2024 edition is clear: demystify the image that the industry can project and allow young people and job seekers to seize recruitment opportunities in professions in shortage.
The previous edition had broken a record in terms of mobilization with 2.2 million participants brought together around more than 5,500 fun and educational events: visits to companies and training establishments, workshops, escape games, webinars, job dating.
As part of the launch of industry week 2024, Simon Bertoux, prefect of Ariège, visits with 2nd year BTS electrotechnical students from the Pyrène high school in Pamiers, on November 19, 2024 at 2:30 p.m., on new industrial site of Forges de Niaux in Pamiers, which allowed the company to double its production capacity and whose 4.0 project was supported by the State under the ADEME and France Relance programs.

Since 2011, Industry Week has created the link between the professional world and the educational sector
Support the emergence of new talents and accelerate the adjustment of training to meet the skills needs of new sectors and emerging professions represents a major challenge within the framework of the reindustrialization policy initiated by the Government in 2017, and intensified by the “Green Industry” law
In Ariège, a strong dynamic is at work for young people on the paths of training and employment:
- The measures: reform of the vocational high school, apprenticeship, transformation of secondary education courses to facilitate entry into the job market, specific programs such as “1 young person, 1 solution”…
- 983 apprenticeship contracts and 662 youth employment contracts were signed in 2022.
- Creation in 2021 of post-baccalaureate training tailored as closely as possible to the needs of businesses in the department. State services, in collaboration with the departmental council, business leaders and the CNAM, have mobilized to bring about a structuring project with both economic and social issues, that of the creation at the Mirepoix high school, of a professional license (design and improvement of processes and industrial processes) in line with the workforce needs of Ariège (25 partner companies and 60 jobs at stake). The first class returned to school in September 2022.
