The spots not to be missed in Nîmes, Avignon, and Alès

Celebrated every year on June 21, the Music Festival will punctuate many communities in France this Friday on the occasion of its 43rd edition. A great opportunity to take to the streets to sing, dance and make great musical discoveries. Of course, Gard and Vaucluse are not left out with activities in the big cities, as well as in the small villages from midday on Friday. Concerts, DJ sets, variety, solos, duets, trios… There is something for every taste. Here is un brief summary of the programs planned in the largest cities.

Nearly twenty scenes in Nîmes

The city center of Nîmes hosts nearly twenty scenes with varied sounds throughout the evening. For example, a succession of very eclectic concerts on Place Gabriel Péri from 5:30 p.m., a show mixing current music and hip-hop dance in front of the Maison Carrée, or even a succession of artists from the current music scene in the heart of the ‘Esplanade.

An eclectic evening in Avignon

To Avignon, artists will also take over public space to make music vibrate everywhere, all evening. A watchword: eclecticism with world music at Parc Champfleury, gospel rock and surf garage on the Place de l’Horloge, rock on the rue du Portail, or DJ sets at Place du Palais and Place de l’Horloge. Crillon, cours Jaurès, or rue des Escaliers Sainte-Anne.

Alès will vibrate for the music festival

In Ales, the municipality will bring life to many places in the city center. To be found in particular at Urban Parc, a live marathon where DJs take turns every 20 minutes. Meet at 7 p.m. and it’s free.
