Tuesday, November 5, three agents from the departmental council, in the presence of departmental advisors Caroline Mey-Fau and Freddy Terlizzi, ensured the distribution of computers at La Garenne college, as part of the Ordi'Lot operation. After a request previously submitted to the departmental council, 32 6th grade students from the grammar school came to collect their computers.

“The cost for the most modest families is only €20, remind the departmental advisors. The Ordi'Lot operation facilitates the acquisition of a laptop by families whose child is entering 6th grade via assistance financial support provided by the department It covers from 20% to almost 95% of the price of the laptop depending on the family quotient.

During distribution, the agents explain to the students that the laptop also serves as a tablet: the screen is touchscreen, full HD with 360° rotation. The tool is owned by the family and is supplied with around forty applications used in the school environment: math, technology, science, French, languages, geography and even 140 digital books. Ordi'Lot thus allows families to benefit from reliable equipment to work at home and have access to the ENT (digital workspace), the educational internet portal which forms the link between college and home.

“We have just arrived from Haute-Savoie and we find that this operation is really very cool,” underlines this mother of a 6th grade student who has just collected her equipment. The latter adds: “I'm really happy to have my computer. I won't need to go to Dad's anymore.”

Another student Mayi, now in 3rd grade, who had benefited from this operation three years ago, and who today came to accompany her sister Louane to remove her PC, recognizes all the good of having, thanks to Ordi' Lot, was able to have his own computer from the 6th grade.
