Landes: Firefighters heavily mobilized during the night for numerous fires in the department

THE Landes firefighters were heavily mobilized on the evening of June 18 to 19, 2024. In total, three house fires and one lightning strike on a home took place last night in the department. No casualties were reported.

Shed fire

Two garden sheds caught fire around 6:30 p.m. and were completely destroyed, rue Edouard Branly, in a residential area of Saint-Paul-les-Dax.

Thunderbolt

The storms caused emergency services to intervene in the town ofHagetmau around 6:50 p.m. Following a lightning strike on the roof of a house, a hole of nearly 16 m² was formed. The firefighters carried out a covering.

Fire in an outbuilding

An outbuilding of 200 m² on the ground was completely destroyed by flames around midnight at Belus. The fire did not spread to the main house. The occupants were not injured.

Hangar Fire

A hangar fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. in the town of Le Freche. It was a firewood storage shed fire. Around 40 m² were destroyed by the flames. Fortunately the fire did not spread to the home.

Fortunately, none of these interventions resulted in any injuries.
