Avian flu: all poultry must be confined in Moselle
Of new prevention measures are mandatory in Moselle since the level of risk of contamination of poultry with avian flu was raised to “high” throughout France.
Containment and protective measures
In a ministerial decree, state services order breeders to confine or protect birds with nets kept in establishments with fewer than 50 poultry, as well as backyard birds.
Farms with more than 50 poultry will also have to shelter watering and food. Vehicles transporting waterflies must be covered to prevent the dispersion of feathers.
Gatherings of birds or poultry are prohibited, such as homing pigeon competitions. Restrictions apply to the transport of decoy birds and the release of game birds is prohibited.
Any symptoms on an animal must be declared to a health veterinarian.
