Will the Geneva climate law, which ratifies the ambitious cantonal climate plan, survive the end of the week? Nothing is less sure. The PLR, under the leadership of deputy Geoffray Sirolli, wishes to bury him as quickly as possible. The party has filed an emergency request to move the item to the top of the agenda for the next session, which will take place on June 20 and 21. If this request is accepted by the other political parties, the PLR will defend the refusal to enter into the matter. If it gathers a majority, this proposal will definitively torpedo the law, after a first refusal to enter into the matter by the Environment Commission in December 2023.
