Rabat – The Sheikh of the Tariqa Kettania, Abdellatif Ben Mohammed Tayeb Charif El Kettani, stressed that the Tariqa Kettania, one and indivisible at home and abroad, cannot serve as a disguise, under false titles, for contenders for leadership and preachers of discord regardless of their family rank within the Mashiachah.
In a statement, the Sheikh of Tariqa Kettania indicated that Mashiakha will not resort to justice against these people, as was the case for some of them in the past, but will entrust its fate to its Lord the Almighty.
Mr. Abdellatif Charif El Kettani recalled that His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God glorify Him, honored him by appointing him Sheikh of Tariqa Kettania by Dahir dated 22 Safar 1430 AH corresponding to February 18, 2009.
He affirmed that the Tariqa Kettania, like other authentic Sufi brotherhoods, is not a family heritage fought over by the sons of the founding Sheikh, his descendants and his relatives.
The Tariqa, he insisted, is rather a path to education in piety and fraternity in the faith, and can only be a pillar of the constants of the Umma, reason why the Supreme Imamate constantly surrounded him with his High Benevolence.
He supported the Machiakha and will defend by all legal means its name, its message, its zaouias and the pious among its followers.
The Mashiakha, he continued, will work to establish contact with certain honorable people, particularly in Egypt, to draw their attention to its legitimacy and warn them against the delaying tactics of the pretentious who try to attract the Tariqa towards dubious affiliations, which Mashiakha can neither admit nor tolerate.
And to conclude that Mashiakha will soon entrust certain virtuous people with the mission of “Moukkadams” in certain regions.
