Meet on November 19 at the Brasserie des Antonins in Nîmes to toast the creativity and freedom that characterize the IGP wines of .

It’s an iconic evening. ReGard sur le Vin, for several years, has been inviting lovers of Bacchus nectar to meet the 19 cellars of passionate producers counting in the IGP of Gard wines (IGP Cévennes and IGP Coteaux du Pont du Gard). The opportunity to taste their nectars but also to discover the new products offered by the dynamic collective.

Adaptation and innovation as drivers

Because as Denis Verdier, the emblematic president, reminds us, despite the difficult current situation for the wine industry, “we want to keep partying”. And to do this, we must not admit defeat by the drop in red wine consumption observed in recent years. But on the contrary, try to imagine new things that attract the public, with young people in mind. “It is a strategic and political choice of which we are proud. We will obviously continue the production of red, while at the same time developing everything that attracts innovations. Are young people turning more towards beer and soft drinks? We are 'adapts! We develop sparkling wines'.

A mixologist for tailor-made cocktails

An evening which therefore aims to bring together all audiences, amateurs or not, by offering vintages with varied profiles and even cocktails with Nicolas Lassalle, mixologist from Gard, who imagined two 100% local and surprising drinks for the event. . The Sweet Gard: “a refreshing cocktail made with sparkling brut, clementine, honey and rosemary, and the Martinimois, a bold blend of sparkling rosé, white kina karo, lime and green olive juice”details the professional of tailor-made creations.

Just as innovative and unifying, participants will also have the pleasure of tasting the gems of the bubble bar, the Bullicieuses. A space dedicated to Gard sparkling wines. Among the local winegrowers engaged in the adventure: Guilhem Peladan, from Domaine des Arnasseaux in Cardet, is one of the leading figures of the trend. The winemaker has been making bubbles for 5 years. White and rosé vintages “to meet new consumer expectations”.

Discovering new flavors

For 6 euros (4 euros for students), visitors will receive a screen-printed glass upon arrival, giving them access to tastings. They will be able to follow a tasting notebook specially designed for the meeting in order to explore, from stand to stand, the riches of Gard wines while being surprised by new flavors.
