Innovative concept combining classical music, equestrian art and literature, the first equestrian concert of the Equestrian and Musical Company will take place this Saturday, June 22, from 6:30 p.m., in the riding school of the Avenches national stud. Local professionals will participate in the creation of this magnificent moment. The objectives of this project are to promote Swiss musical culture, the Franches-Montagnes breed and talented Swiss riders, as well as Swiss literature.

For the occasion, an orchestra of 13 local, professional and talented musicians will perform the ballet piece Appalachian Spring by Aaron Copland (1900-1990). To this piece with multiple expressions, the horses and their riders will dance, solo then in groups, all to texts by Christine Savoy. The day will be preceded by visits to the stud farm, organized by Avenches Tourisme. Information via www.lcem.ch.
