A new accident took place a little before noon, this Monday, November 11, on the RN165, near the town of Brec'h, in the Nantes-Quimper direction. An employee of the West Interdepartmental Roads Directorate (Diro), who was on foot on the road, was hit by a vehicle a few meters upstream of the portion of the road where maintenance work is currently taking place with a lane left neutralized until November 22.
Investigation into yesterday's accident
This road was also partly blocked on Monday morning as part of the investigation carried out by the gendarmes following the dramatic accident the previous evening where a young woman lost her life after a collision involving several vehicles. According to the first elements, a motorist wanted to force the passage, knocking down the Diro employee who was carrying out the marking so that the gendarmes could proceed to reconstruct the tragedy in complete safety.
The motorist arrested
Injured, the latter was transported to the Bretagne-Atlantique Hospital Center (CHBA) in Vannes. According to our information, he has now left the hospital and has been placed on sick leave. The motorist was arrested by the police. At the scene of the accident, five engines and eleven firefighters were mobilized by the Morbihan Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis 56).
