The animation project for the former TPG halls at Pointe de la Jonction should finally see the light of day. According to the “Tribune de Genève”, the places should open at the end of June. As a reminder, their management was awarded in 2021 by the City of Geneva to the company which manages the Baroque, a posh club in the city center. Since then, the project has been at a standstill, between the reluctance of neighborhood associations, judging the project not popular enough, and the legal disputes of those in charge of the night club, who had for a time pushed the Municipality to withdraw the matter from them.
This attempt should therefore be the right one, but the Baroque has faded. He subcontracted the operation of the site to a company specializing in consulting in the hotel and catering sector, Malipa Hospitality Solution, reports the Geneva daily. A dozen local restaurateurs are planned in wooden chalets, three bars, local designer markets and a space dedicated to children. Sport, successfully installed by the City to “furnish” the last two years, will remain present: basketball, padel, pétanque and a climbing wall will be offered for free use.
