Tetouan – His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Amir Al-Mouminine, may God help him, accompanied by HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, HH Prince Moulay Ahmed and HH Prince Moulay Ismaïl , performed Monday 10 Di Al Hijja 1445 AH, corresponding to June 17, 2024, the blessed Eid Al-Adha prayer at the Hassan II mosque in Tetouan.

Many citizens gathered along the route taken by the royal procession to share with HM the King, Amir Al-Mouminine, the joy of this blessed day and to wish the Sovereign happy birthday and long life.

On his arrival at the mosque, the Sovereign reviewed a detachment of the Royal Guard which was rendering honors.

After the Eid prayer, the Imam indicated in his sermon the deep meanings of Eid Al Adha which crowns the first ten days of Di Al Hijja during which Muslims strengthen their faith in God and give thanks to Him for the numerous benefits with which He bestowed upon them, noting that this festival is a gift from the divine through which unity, fraternity, mutual aid and solidarity between Muslims are manifested.

Stressing that the Almighty had blessed the Kingdom of Morocco with the Institution of Imarat Al-Mouminine, the Imam affirmed that HM the King, Amir Al-Mouminine, may God glorify Him, protector of the Nation and the Religion, was able, thanks to His wisdom and his foresight, to make Morocco a prosperous nation thanks to the structuring projects that He launched and which raised the Kingdom among the Nations and made it a model at the regional levels and international.

The Imam further noted that HM the King, may God preserve him, ensures above all else the exercise of worship and the consecration of his values ​​and precepts.

The Imam concluded by imploring the Most High to preserve HM the King, Amir Al-Mouminine, to crown His actions with success for the good of His faithful people and to fulfill Him in the persons of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan , HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and all the members of the Illustrious Royal Family.

He also raised prayers for the repose of the souls of the late Sovereigns, the late HM King Mohammed V and the late HM King Hassan II, may God welcome them in His Holy Mercy.

Subsequently, HM the King, Amir Al-Mouminine, carried out the ritual of sacrifice, following the tradition of the Prophet Sidna Mohammed, peace and blessings be upon Him. Thereupon, the Imam of the mosque proceeded to immolate the second sheep.

HM the King then returned to the Royal Palace amidst the acclamations of citizens who came in large numbers to reiterate their unwavering attachment to the Glorious Alaouite Throne and to the August person of His Majesty the King. At the same time, cannon shots rang out on the occasion of this festive day.

At the Royal Palace, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Amir Al-Mouminine, may God help him, accompanied by HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and HH Prince Moulay Ahmed, received the greetings the Head of Government, the presidents of the two Chambers of Parliament, the deputy president of the Superior Council of the Judicial Power, First President of the Court of Cassation, the president of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the King’s Attorney General at the Court of Cassation, the dean of the Islamic diplomatic corps in Morocco, Ambassador of Cameroon, presidents of constitutional bodies, and several senior civil and military personalities.
