Through a press release reviewed by Seneweb, the Ministry of Health and Social Action (MSAS) reacted to the acts of vandalism perpetrated during the day of Friday June 14, 2024 at the Talibou Dabo center (CTD) in Grand-Yoff by a group of individuals who would identify themselves as agents of said center.

In the press release, the MSAS strongly condemned such acts which are unacceptable and regrets the significant material damage caused.

Indeed, the ministry’s services believe that this establishment, rare of its kind and mainly welcoming vulnerable children, must be preserved and maintained, instead of being the subject of acts of sabotage.

Faced with this situation, the Department of Health and Social Action informs the public that the judicial authorities have been contacted and the investigation, which is ongoing, will determine those responsible who will answer for their actions before the law.

Finally, the services of Minister Ibrahima Sy inform that they have taken all measures to ensure the proper functioning of the Talibou Dabo center and ensure the safety of staff.

As a reminder, the CTD is a public education and rehabilitation service for physically disabled children. Its mission is to provide comprehensive care for children with motor disabilities and people with physical disabilities.
