This is (already) the beginning of the adventure for the French Olympic football team. Thierry Henry’s band, which will begin the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on Wednesday July 24 in Marseille against the United States (9 p.m.), arrived in Clairefontaine on Sunday June 16 evening. That is, seven weeks before the date of the hoped-for final, scheduled for the Parc des Princes on August 9 (6 p.m.).

If there have been numerous withdrawals, including those of Lille Yoro and Diakité, Parisians Barcola and Zaire-Emery who will play Euro 2024 with the A or even that of Estève, there are still a few players who joined the gathering on D-day. Like Alexandre Lacazette, the Olympique Lyonnais striker, who returned to the scene seven years after his last call-up with Didier Deschamps.

His teammate Rayan Cherki also arrived at the “castle”, like Castello Lukeba or Michael Olise.

Toulouse goalkeeper Guillaume Restes, who will start, is also in the game.

Thierry Henry’s Blues will play three friendly matches before the start of the Olympic Games: July 4, 2024 against Paraguay in Bayonne, then in Toulon on July 11 and 17 against the Dominican Republic and Japan.
