Gard. road accident on the D58 in Saint-Laurent-d’Aigouze: three injured, one seriously
A spectacular accident involving a van and a car occurred during the night from Sunday to Monday on departmental road 58 in Saint-Laurent-d’Aigouze, in Gard.
Three people were injured, one seriously.
The events occurred around 12:35 a.m. For an as yet undetermined reason, the van and the car collided head-on. The shock was extremely violent, as evidenced by the significant emergency response deployed on site.
Three injured
A total of three people were injured in the accident. A 38-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were slightly injured. They were transported to the hospital centers of Nîmes and Lunel. A third man, also 22 years old, was seriously injured. He was medically treated by the SMUR in Nîmes before being evacuated to the Nîmes Carrémau University Hospital in Gard.
The D58 cut off to traffic
Departmental road 58 was closed to traffic while emergency services intervened. The rescue operations lasted almost 3 hours.
