Competing this Saturday for their 7th round of the French Cup (to be followed live on the antennas of Mayotte la 1ère), the Black Devils of Combani are finally well on their way to France. The club had, at first, half-heartedly threatened to forfeit because it was without 7 of its best players in an irregular situation.
They finally took the plane, as planned, yesterday at 7:20 p.m., meeting with the history of the club which could possibly qualify for the 8th round of the French Cup, an event for the Black Devils of Combani but also for Mahorean football.
Could qualify because, on paper, Combani (regional 1) is superior to his opponent on Saturday, Crépy (Regional 3) even if the match is played on the latter's ground.
But the problem is that Combani left without 7 of his best players, all in an irregular situation on Mayotte soil.
The club hoped to be able to take these players by betting on the fact that the prefecture would give them a sort of administrative pass as had already been done in the past.
Except that there were no passes and that the Black Devils, at the time of writing, could appear on the Oise pitch with very young players or even senior executives of the club to avoid the package.
Final hope, that the famous administrative sesames will finally be given by the State and that the 7 players can join the selection by Wednesday maximum.
