Thirteen candidates were in the running in 2022 during the legislative elections just two years ago. There should only be five in the end – due to the constitution of the New Popular Front. Subject to validation by the Prefecture, here are the names of the candidates in the second constituency of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.

Léo Walter (NFP), the outgoing
He had stolen the constituency from Christophe Castaner, outgoing deputy wearing the colors of the presidential party, in 2022. The neck-and-neck of the first round (30.16% against 29.30%) was amplified in the second round: 51, 5% versus 48.5%. Léo Walter, inserted in La France insoumise, embodies the New Popular Front. Unless there is a surprise, he will not have to face a dissident candidacy. The socialists assured it yesterday – old and young socialists including Jean-Christophe Pétrigny, Claude Domeizel, honorary socialist senator-mayor, Paola Valenti, Esteban Calles Icard, head of the Young Socialists of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, have assured it confirmed, as was Bertrand Perrin of the Communist Party.
