Legislative: in the 2nd constituency of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, five candidates are in the running

Thirteen candidates were in the running in 2022 during the legislative elections just two years ago. There should only be five in the end – due to the constitution of the New Popular Front. Subject to validation by the Prefecture, here are the names of the candidates in the second constituency of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.

List subject to confirmation by the Prefecture of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.

Léo Walter (NFP), the outgoing

He had stolen the constituency from Christophe Castaner, outgoing deputy wearing the colors of the presidential party, in 2022. The neck-and-neck of the first round (30.16% against 29.30%) was amplified in the second round: 51, 5% versus 48.5%. Léo Walter, inserted in La France insoumise, embodies the New Popular Front. Unless there is a surprise, he will not have to face a dissident candidacy. The socialists assured it yesterday – old and young socialists including Jean-Christophe Pétrigny, Claude Domeizel, honorary socialist senator-mayor, Paola Valenti, Esteban Calles Icard, head of the Young Socialists of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, have assured it confirmed, as was Bertrand Perrin of the Communist Party. With Alice Allamel as substitute, Léo Walter carries the program of the New Popular Front which involves the immediate repeal of the pension reform, the immigration law, the reform of unemployment insurance, the revaluation of the minimum wage and pensions. ..
