This Sunday, November 10, Haute-Corse is no longer affected by a weather watch.

After placing the department in “orange” this Saturday for the “rain-flood” parameter, Météo France services lifted the alert “anticipated manner”.

“Low intensity rains are still occurring in the east of the island, forecasts indicate. Some thunderstorms offshore in the Tyrrhenian Sea are present. In the second part of the night, sometimes stormy showers are possible in the east of Haute-Corse but no longer justify maintaining vigilant monitoring.”

In Corsica-du-Sud, the yellow “thunderstorms” vigilance is still in force. Active since this Saturday, it is maintained until at least 6 p.m. this Sunday.

“In the morning, a few showers occur over Sartenais, over Alta Rocca as well as towards the eastern part of the department, forecasters say. This risk of showers gradually fades in the middle of the day. It snows from 2,400 meters. At the end of the afternoon, the weather becomes dry again everywhere. The heaviest rainfall totals can be around 20 millimeters in the Far South.”
