Involved in the very violent attack on a father in front of the Hautmont cemetery (North) on Monday November 4, 2024, five people were brought before the court and tried. He had been beaten and stabbed in front of his wife's eyes, while he came to pay his respects at his baby's grave, says The Voice of the North November 9, 2024.

He denies stabbings

The injured father was then abandoned by his attackers who fled. His vital prognosis was in jeopardy when he was taken into care by emergency services. The main suspect, who allegedly stabbed the victim, was arrested for two days. In court, the 20-year-old did not admit to the stabbings.

The latter knows the bereaved couple since he is the companion of the woman's former best friend. He was sentenced to thirty months in prison for “violence aggravated by two circumstances”. His relatives, present at the time of the events, were also sentenced to prison terms.
