9th French Long Coast Championship in Hauteville-sur-Mer (Manche): results and hot results!

On Saturday June 15, Cale Sud beach in Hauteville-sur-mer, in Manche, was the playing field for the 9th edition of the French long hill championshipco-organized by the FFRandonnée, its Normandy and Manche committees, expertly supported by the Longe Cote Pays Hautais and Longe Côte du Pays Granvillais clubs…

419 athletes among the best athletes in the discipline, representing 53 affiliated clubs from the Normandy, Hauts de France, Brittany, Pays de la Loire, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Occitanie and PACA regions, took on the 1000m timed courses in quads, 400m pairs, 200m or 50m in solo events!

Despite often destabilizing conditions, between adaptation to tide changes and capricious weather, the competitors managed, at the end of the effort, to express the full extent of their talent, like Aurélie Accary among the women. or Benjamin Farcinade among the men, winners in the flagship 50m senior scratch category

Without forgetting …

The performances of the 11 visually impaired swimmers, who came to compete in a thrilling solo 200m, to the cheers of the crowd and from which Patricia Faroux and Jimmy Morand, both residents of the Eaudemer Le Havre club, emerged as big winners. Congratulations to them ! Finally, note that our youngest junior and cadet athletes, aged only 12 to 15 years old, competed in the 200M pairs girls, boys and mixed categories. These saw the respective victories of the Longe cote club de France, Portsall Kersaint Nautical Center and La Turballe longe coast clubs!
