On the landing, on the 12th floor of this building in Bagnolet, he rang all the doors. One of them opened. Without asking for his rest, the man brushed aside the lady who asked him what he wanted, walked into the house, opened a window of the apartment and jumped in without hesitation. This drama of ordinary madness took place this Saturday afternoon in one of the towers on rue Sesto Fiorentino, a stone's throw from the Paris ring road. The victim, about whom we do not know much at the moment other than that he was 46 years old, died.
Around 4:20 p.m., a resident called for help. The body of a man lies on the ground at the foot of a building. The firefighters arrived quickly on site. But that doesn't do much good. The victim, thrown out of the window from a very high height, probably died instantly.
A police crew attended the scene. An investigation was opened by the Bobigny public prosecutor's office to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy. According to the very first elements collected by officials, the victim lived in the building in question. She was known to neighbors and firefighters, apparently because she did not have all her mental faculties.
It was not known this Saturday afternoon whether psychological support had been provided, in particular to the neighbor who opened the door for the victim and who witnessed his presumed suicide.
