Combronde
Early Thursday afternoon, a pallet fell on a driver from the Dachser company who was helping to unload a platform. The man was evacuated by helicopter to Clermont University Hospital, his vital prognosis is still in jeopardy. An investigation was opened by the Combronde gendarmerie and the labor inspectorate.
He was flying to play trifecta
A man, suspected of being the author of eleven thefts, scams and attempted fraud between April 2023 and May 2024, was arrested on Thursday June 13, at his home in Lempdes. Aged 58, he allegedly entered the offices of a large supermarket and several medical practices in Royat, Ennezat, Volvic, Aubière, Riom, Clermont-Ferrand, Gannat (Allier)… and stole wallets and bank cards. He would have used them — this constitutes scams — for amounts ranging from €15 to €250.
He allegedly started this series of thefts from the home of an octogenarian in Aubière, entering her home by making people believe that he was canvassing. While in police custody, the fifty-year-old admitted the facts, explaining that he was addicted to PMU. This Friday evening, the Clermont-Ferrand public prosecutor’s office requested his placement in pre-trial detention and his appearance on Monday in criminal court.
A cyclist hits a truck in Sauxillanges
This Friday, around 11:50 a.m., emergency services were alerted by a traffic accident that occurred on rue de la Croix du Salut, in the town of Sauxillanges. As a truck entered the lane, a cyclist slipped on the wet road and hit it. After losing consciousness, the victim, aged 47, was examined by the Smur d’Issoire medical team and transported to Clermont-Ferrand University Hospital. His vital prognosis was not in jeopardy at that time. The Sauxillanges gendarmes carried out the usual findings.
