Maritime Bakery

The “Maritime Bakery” is above all a family affair, which has been going on since 2002. “I took over four years ago with my partnerconfides André Vincent. My father continues to help me.”

For twenty-​two years, this bakery has been one of the references in the neighborhood, where the locals have their habits and where curious tourists always leave with a smile. The brand’s main strength? Its wood-fired oven.

“It allows us to make everything in-house.” Croissants, pain au chocolat, baguettes, everything here is artisanal. Without forgetting the Nice specialties, such as pissaladière, chard pie or pans-bagnats.

“At the moment, it’s sourdough bread that’s popularspecifies the manager. Flans are also often requested.” And to taste it all, a terrace with seventeen seats is available. Ideal for enjoying breakfast, or an impromptu snack.

Mela living pastry

Do you like cakes and sweet treats? Don’t wait any longer and go to “Mela Patisserie Vivant”. Between her chocolate cakes, carrot cakes, strawberry cakes and fruit tarts, Mélanie Tuz’s creations are sure to seduce you.

“Everything is homemade, with seasonal fruit and not too much sugarunderlines the manager of the premises, who imagined this original concept on rue Bavastro more than three years ago. The clientele is mainly local, but many tourists are attracted by the appearance of the store.”

Because if cakes are king at Mélanie Tuz, it is also possible to taste savory foods at lunchtime, and even leave with products available for sale. “I offer quiches, toasts or even salads, with vegetables from the Libération marketshe explains. And in the afternoon, it’s a tea room!”

And for special occasions, cakes are also available to order. From pavlova to opera, royal chocolate or vanilla flan, there will certainly be something for everyone…

It is one of the neighborhood’s institutions. When you live in Port Lympia or in its passageways, you can’t escape it. “The brand has existed since 1989underlines Frédéric Parola, who took over the business in 2002. Here, we offer all the Nice specialties.”

From the unmissable socca, as its name suggests, to pissaladière, including chard pie, stuffed meats and Niçois ravioli, all lovers of our cuisine will be served, lunch and dinner.
