Its creator “could talk about it for hours”. In June 2021, Julien Prevost-Merlin transformed nearly 40 ha of Ornaise forest into an immense immersive park. Around ten actors have since welcomed almost 7,000 visitors each year into their medieval fantasy world to complete quests and missions for a day or just half a day.
Since its opening, the park has never been empty. To the point that on Sunday November 10, the 20,000e visitor is expected. “We don’t know the name of the chosen one, smiles the founder of the park. If we are almost complete until the end of the season, it will be the one who passes the gantry on Sunday around noon, just after 19,999ewho will win a complete outfit! » Sword, shield, cape, belt and scabbard… Enough to live and relive “the totally unique experience” of this adventure park.
“More than sixty quests”
Between April and November, RustiK park welcomes around one hundred people for immersive quests. Dressed from head to toe, these visitors, sometimes coming from (very) far away, spend between four and eight hours in this preserved and managed forest.
“We have scripted more than sixty quests, specifies Julien Prevost-Merlin. Some visitors have come dozens of times, and each time for new missions, which change according to ages, schedules, periods…” If 30% of annual visitors are Norman, many are English (who can carry out certain quests in English) or Belgians, with this summer 2024 a certain number of Australians and Israelis.
The last milestone, i.e. 10,000 visitors, was reached in July 2023 by a family of regulars.
