France XV scrum half Nolann Le Garrec received the prize for the best try of the year 2024 at the World Rugby Awards in Monaco.
French rugby can rejoice in having received the try of the year prize during the World Rugby Awards ceremony which took place this Sunday in Monaco.
It was Nolann Le Garrec's achievement against England during the last 6 Nations Tournament which was rewarded by the public.
On a throw blocked by Thibaud Flament on the French 40 meter line, the ball is quickly sent to the outside for the three-quarter tricolor. Ramos and Depoortere quickly pass to Fickou who advances in defense before passing to Barré. The Stade Français full-back has a two-on-one to negotiate with Louis Bielle-Biarrey but chooses to fake the pass on the English fly-half Marcus Smith. A decision that paid off because the opening half of the XV de la Rose was beaten. Barré continues his action, breaks away, but is caught by an English defender. As he falls, he finds Nolann Le Garrec inside, who was at the start of the action.
