You have until March 16, 2025 to discover Banquetthe new interactive exhibition of the Montreal Science Center (CSM), where culinary art and science become one! There is no doubt that this delicious North American premiere will delight your neurons as much as your taste buds!

This immersive journey with multiple aspects, sociological and anthropological, but also chemical and physical, is made up of five stations: the kitchen, the appetizer, the banquet, the show and the educational workshop!

In Cuisine in every sensea course created especially for the occasion by Radio-Canada, you will have the opportunity to awaken the cook in you! You will come away with new culinary techniques and know-how thanks to various interactive activities.

As for the section The appetizer, your five senses will be put to the test and you will learn more about the science of taste. Foodies will certainly find what they are looking for there!

The section Banquetshe invites you to delve into the codes of the banquet as well as its history across cultures and eras.

Also attend the Big show multimedia and immersive in a visual atmosphere mixing sounds and image projections. Bewitching smells and a dreamlike meal await you there.

Finally, to end this sensory journey in style, immerse yourself in the physics and chemistry hidden in the kitchen by participating in Scientific culinary lab led by the educational team of Montreal Science Center!

Let us emphasize that Banquet will highlight Quebec gastronomy in all its diversity and richness. Indeed, you will be able to discover the culinary approaches of several big names on the Quebec culinary scene, notably the chef Normand Laprise, the chef Colombe St-Pierre and the chef Charles-Antoine Crête. Plus, learn more about the Caribbean and indigenous influences that make up our local gastronomy with the chef Paul Toussaint and the chef Cezin Nottaway thanks to interactive activities where the senses will be stimulated.
