News – Val-de-Travers – Road accident in St-Sulpice: a motorcyclist injured after a collision

On Tuesday, November 5, around 5 p.m., a traffic accident occurred on the H10 road between Fleurier and Les Verrières, near La Prize Milord. A 57-year-old motorcyclist, resident of La Cluse-et-Mijoux, was injured in a collision with a vehicle driven by a 30-year-old resident of Couvet.

The motorcyclist was following the car towards Les Verrières when, trying to overtake it, he hit the vehicle which was slowing down to park in an avoidance space located to the south of the road. After the impact, the motorcyclist fell heavily onto the road.

Quickly taken care of, he was transported by ambulance to Pontarlier hospital for treatment. The authorities reiterate the importance of being extra vigilant in areas where drivers may have to perform parking or turning maneuvers.

This accident highlights the risks of overtaking in mixed traffic zones and the caution needed for all road users.
