The investigation into the fatal shootings in Lorscourt, Tuesday afternoon in the city center, has progressed well. He explained the reasons for what appears to be an execution in the street. The alleged shooter, a 39-year-old man, admitted to coldly killing a 54-year-old man, his ex-wife's new companion. The driver, injured, managed to drive away, before ending his race against a sidewalk. He got out before collapsing to the ground and losing consciousness. Emergency services were unable to resuscitate him. “He had several gunshot wounds on his left side and arms. An autopsy is underway.”specified Paul-Edouard Lallois. Investigators have enough evidence to believe that this act was premeditated. The individual was armed and his victim was “executed coldly on public roads. The suspect had possessed this weapon illegally for several months. said the Montbéliard prosecutor.
“The victim did not go out and did not make any apparent threat towards the accused according to video surveillance images, no weapon was found in his vehicle“, indicated Paul-Edouard Lallois. Leaving uncovered from the scene of the crime aboard a Peugeot 807, the suspect was quickly identified by the police.
The suspect arrested near Baume-les-Dames
After Tuesday's shootings, the man was arrested on a secondary road near Baume-les-Dames and placed in police custody. His vehicle was abandoned in a parking lot of a store in Voujeaucourt before 6 p.m., shortly after the events, but the individual was geolocated in this municipality.
