Lempdes-sur-Allagnon: the fire consumed the beams
A chimney fire left one person injured on Sunday shortly before 8 p.m. on rue du Suc-du-Nord in Lempdes-sur-Allagnon. Shortly after lighting the fireplace, the homeowners noticed a black stain on the ceiling. The power went out at the same time. After quick checks, the homeowner and a friend went into the attic where they smelled smoke. While lifting glass wool, they noticed that flames were consuming the beams. The fire was extinguished by firefighters who also treated the owner who had smoke inhalation. He was taken to Puy-en-Velay hospital.
Le Puy: drunk, the driver hits the van
Last Friday, a delivery man was unloading his goods on Avenue Charles-Dupuy in Le Puy, when his van was hit by a Citroën DS3. The accident did not cause any injuries, but faced with the abnormal state of the driver, the deliveryman requested the intervention of the police. The blood alcohol screening was indeed positive with a level of 1.72 g per liter of blood. The 27-year-old motorist, residing in Aiguilhe, was the subject of proceedings for alcohol which began with the immobilization of his vehicle and the administrative retention of his driving license, pending the court decision in the next few days.
A woman argues with a knife in her hand
Last Thursday, Halloween evening, a crew from the anti-crime brigade witnessed an argument between two marginalized people in front of the Puy theater, Place du Breuil. Each of the protagonists had consumed alcohol. The man presented himself to the police as the victim of a knife threat. The woman who accompanied him was in fact holding an Opinel-type knife in her hand, the blade of which was folded. They were both taken to the police headquarters to be questioned. The 37-year-old Yssingelaise denied the attack, explaining that she had just picked up the knife that had just fallen out of her pocket when the police arrived. The two suspects were quickly released. The 42-year-old man living in Le Puy will have to pay a fine for drunkenness on public roads, while the 30-year-old is summoned to court for carrying a category D weapon.
Brives-Charensac: the teenager multiplies the offenses
A 15-year-old teenager was arrested on Friday, at 11 p.m., by the police at the Côte de Tireboeuf roundabout in Brives-Charensac. He had been wanted for a little over 3 hours. Around 7:30 p.m., an emergency police patrol came across him on rue Pannessac in Le Puy. Despite the use of two-tone and flashing lights, the pilot had fled. While he thought he was getting away with it, the police considered his attitude as a refusal to comply. They left him no escape when they crossed paths with him again at 11 p.m. The young man living in Brives-Charensac had three knives in his pockets (including a butterfly knife) and a little more than 9 grams of cannabis resin. Numerous traffic violations were noted on his scooter and he was subject to fines for no registration, faulty brakes, no lights and a flat tire.
