Victim of a twisted left ankle Tuesday evening in the Champions League, the French midfielder will be away from the field for a month.
Hard blow for Didier Deschamps who must announce this Thursday his list of players who will face Israel and Italy in the Nations League, on November 14 and 17. The coach will have to do without Aurélien Tchouameni, captain of the Blues during the last rally in the absence of Kylian Mbappé.
A poor performance from Madrid
The Real Madrid midfielder suffered a twisted left ankle on Tuesday evening during his team's Champions League defeat against AC Milan (1-3). The former Monegasque came out at half-time limping after receiving a knock.
Like his teammates, including Kylian Mbappé, Aurélien Tchouameni did not show his best side against the Milanese.
Real Madrid confirmed this injury via a press release this Wednesday afternoon, without mentioning the duration of unavailability. He is expected to miss a month of competition.
