During the weekend, a hunter had five of his dogs stolen near Niort (Deux-Sèvres). The owner of the animals noticed this Saturday, November 2, that five of his seven artesian basset hounds, a breed of dog specialized in hunting, had disappeared, revealed La Nouvelle République.

The owner then posted an announcement on social media to announce that his dogs had disappeared. Following this publication, many Internet users mobilized in order to try to find the animals. The man also filed a complaint with the police in the afternoon.

All the dogs have been found

The day after the ad was published, the man was contacted because a dog matched the ad had been found. It was indeed the hunter's dog.

Later that day, the other four dogs were found in a shopping area near Niort, several kilometers from where they were stolen.
