On November 22, 23 and 24, the Côtes-d'Armor Food Bank will organize a collection in 90 stores in the area. An operation which will be carried out as the number of beneficiaries increases – more than 30% in three years – and as inflation weakens supplies of food products and operating costs.
145,000 meals in 2023
In the department, the Food Bank supports more than 11,500 people experiencing food insecurity. It is helped in its mission by 95 local partner associations. By fall 2023, the equivalent of 145,000 meals had been collected.
This three-day national operation will mobilize 110,000 volunteers, recognizable by their orange vests, supported by 7,000 permanent volunteers. It makes it possible to cover 10% of supply needs (23 million meals collected throughout France in 2023).
Online donations will also be possible on the monpaniersolidaire.org platform.
