In a note received by PressAfrik, it is noted that Sud Fm Ziguinchor journalist Ignace Ndeye was the victim of theft during his trip on Senegal Dem DIKK buses to reach Ziguinchor. According to the note, “This luggage disappeared when the bus to Ziguinchor arrived in Kaolack for a break. It was a bus passenger who paid for his ticket since the departure of the Liberty 5 buses who got off with his bag and that of another passenger near Kaolack. It was when the bus left after a break at a gas station that the driver and his assistant noticed the absence of the passenger and the disappearance of the travel bags stored inside the bus.

According to a bus passenger, the “thief passenger” who was slow to get out of the bus got off with two bags before disappearing. The journalist’s travel bag contained his important exhibits and documents as well as other items in addition to a large sum of money,” the note read.

The note reports that “a complaint is filed against the General Management of Dakar DEM DIKK which is struggling to identify the customer who got off at Kaolack even though he had paid for the Dakar-Ziguinchor ticket. Laxity, negligence or complicity, tongues were loosened on board the bus.
