In addition to illegal dumping to be managed throughout its territory, the Vie et Boulogne community of communes, whose headquarters is based in Poiré-sur-Vie, must deal with fraud on yellow bags.

Individuals buy yellow bags from stores to place their packaging, but also various waste. “This leads to an increase in refusals from collection agents,” observes the intercommunality.

As these bags are not numbered by the town hall or the media libraries supposed to distribute them, it is impossible to find their owners if they have not left distinctive signs in waste.

An increase in the price of waste treatment

These incivilities come at a time when Life and Boulogne voted to increase the price of waste treatment in the fifteen municipalities in its territory. An increase planned for the 1^is January 2025.

The incentive fee, implemented on 1^is January 2020, allows everyone to pay according to the waste produced. It includes a fixed part and a variable cost based on the number of times each household takes out its trash during the year.

The bins must be taken out every two weekswhile yellow bags can be dropped off at will.

At the same time, the recycling centers of Saint-Paul-Mont-Penit, Poiré-sur-Vie, Aizenay, Lucs-sur-Boulogne, Saint-Denis-la-Chevasse and Bellevigny are accessible according to a package included in the fee. Beyond a certain number of passages, an additional cost is applied.

€5 per entry into the recycling center at the 13th passage

Until December 31, 2024, the garbage bin (from 120 to 660 liters depending on the household, the largest being for professionals) is collected six times a year as part of the package. From 7^e lifted, an additional cost is applied.

Regarding buried columns, fifteen annual openings are included. It's number 16^e which entails an additional cost.

The bill is calculated on the provision of bins, the collection of glass and paper columns, the collection of waste and yellow bags, the management of recycling centers and the minimum number of collections during the year. The variable part applies if users exceed these thresholds.

From 1^is January 2025, you will have to pay €5 per entry into the recycling center from 13^e passage.

This measure aims to encourage the population to come less often, but with more loaded trailers. And to dissuade entrepreneurs from using their personal card to eliminate their surpluses. Concerning bins per household, the price increases by 8.5%.
