The Cantal gendarmes carried out several checks on the roads during this long weekend of November 1st. Blood alcohol levels, speeding, driving under drugs… We take stock.
A 26-year-old man, living in Dordogne, was flashed on Sunday November 3 afternoon at 167 km/h (speed limit: 158) on the RD 120 in Laroquebrou, a limited road 90.
A 44-year-old from Aveyron was checked at 153 km/h (restraint: 145) on a portion of the RN 122 limited to 90 km/h, Thursday October 31 at the end of the afternoon, near Quézac.
An 83-year-old Cantal resident was intercepted speeding on Thursday October 31 late in the afternoon on the RN 122 near Quézac. He was traveling at 127 km/h (restraint: 120) instead of 80.
Blood alcohol levels, speeding and driving under drugs: weekend checks in Cantal
Friday, November 1, shortly before 11 a.m., on the RD 663 in Saint-Constant-Fournoulès, a 25-year-old from Aveyron was arrested under the influence of alcohol while driving. The breathalyzer showed 0.88 mg of alcohol per liter of exhaled air, the authorized rate not exceeding 0.25 mg.
On cocaine and with a license already canceled
Sunday November 3 afternoon in Montchamp, in the hamlet of “Sistrières”, a 22-year-old Cantal resident, on a probationary license, tested positive for alcohol while driving: 0.17 mg per liter of exhaled air, the rate for young drivers is limited to 0.1 mg.
Saturday November 2, around 9 p.m., on the RN 122, near Vic-sur-Cère, a 37-year-old driver from Cantal was arrested under the influence of cocaine. About an hour later, still on the RN 122 in Vic-sur-Cère, it was a 24-year-old man, residing in the Alpes-Maritimes, who was checked on cocaine while driving, despite the administrative suspension of his license to drive.

Sunday, November 3 afternoon, on the A75 motorway, near Vieillespesse, a 32-year-old man, living in Aude, committed offenses: speeding at 151 km/h (restraint: 143), driving under narcotics (cannabis), without insurance and without technical inspection.
