Euro 2024 is about to begin and, as Domenico Tedesco confirmed at a press conference, this Friday, Belgium’s group will be made up of 25 players. The number they will wear on their jersey is known.
Euro 2024 is exactly one week away. Host country Germany will kick off the competition against Scotland on Friday June 14. For the Devils, the tournament will begin on June 17 in Frankfurt, against Slovakia.
This Friday, during the last press conference before the final friendly match, against Luxembourg, scheduled for this Saturday, Domenico Tedesco confirmed two things.
The Devils jersey numbers at the Euro
Firstly, despite the physical problems of Youri Tielemans, Arthur Theate and Jan Vertonghen, the Devils group at the Euro will be made up of 25 players. No Arne Engels, nor Mandela Keita, therefore.
In addition, the coach confirmed that Belgium’s starting goalkeeper will indeed be Koen Casteels, who took the advantage on “slight details” to the detriment of Matz Sels. One last confirmation which was necessary before revealing the numbers that the Devils will wear on their jersey. Here they are.
