Abdelfettah Kabssi is named director of the Territorial information of theOise. He is expected to take office in the coming days.
He replaces Jean-Louis Gerber, who retired (photo below). The latter was named Knight of the National Order of Merit in June 2023. He remained at the head of Territorial Intelligence for 11 years.
Territorial Intelligence (RT), formerly known as General Intelligence, is one of the four intelligence services of the Ministry of the Interior with the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI), the intelligence directorate of the police prefecture of Paris (DRPP) and the operational anticipation sub-directorate (SDAO) of the national gendarmerie.
RTs provide information in the institutional, economic and social fields as well as in all areas likely to be of interest to public order (threats, extremism, terrorism, anti-republican actions), particularly on the occasion of major events and official travel, indicates the website of the Ministry of the Interior.
The RT motto: “Know to act”. A bit like the news…
Author of a book on “gangs”
Abdelfettah Kabssi co-signed with Julien Dufour a work entitled Bandes; criminal drift and terrorism (MA Editions, 2015). On the back cover, it is mentioned that he is a police captain that he “served in the judicial police then in police stations in sensitive sectors, he was in charge of the cell for monitoring the anti-gang plan of the police headquarters. He now works in specialized service.”
By “specialized service” we mean intelligence services that want to remain discreet, by definition.
The book Bandes, co-written with curator Julien Dufour, questions the new forms of banditry and terrorism at the heart of our societies? It offers a classification of street gangs, and a police look at “real criminals”.
Abdelfettah Kabssi was appointed to the police commander promotion table in 2020.
