In Poitiers, a 15-year-old teenager shot in the head on the evening of Thursday October 31 succumbed to his injuries. The suspected shooter is already known to the police.
Saturday November 2, the district of Poitiers (Vienna) where a shooting took place on Thursday October 31 is in shock. The brawl left five injured, including one seriously injured in the head. Aged 15 to 16, they frequented one of the most important deal points in Poitiers. The investigation opened Thursday evening into attempted homicide led to the identification of a suspect. “A man, whose identity is being clarified, present for several weeks in Poitiers and who is the subject of active research”specifies Cyril Lacombe, public prosecutor of Poitiers.
The alleged shooter, known to the police for drug trafficking, would have been sent to Poitiers to take over drug dealing points in the city, causing a turf war which could be at the origin of the brawl. Investigators are interested in the profile of the injured minors, who play in the same football club. The injured 15-year-old died on Saturday November 2.
