A young adult shot and killed in in Drôme

The young man was in cardiac arrest when emergency services arrived; they were unable to resuscitate him.

A young adult was shot and killed on Friday, November 1, around 4:30 p.m., in the Polygone district of (Drôme), Bleu Drôme Ardèche learned from consistent sources. The young man was in cardiac arrest when help arrived. Despite attempts to resuscitate him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The possibility of a new settling of scores against a backdrop of drug trafficking has not been ruled out. The young man was already known to the police, France Bleu Drôme Ardèche learned from sources close to the case. These same sources affirm that there is no link with the shooting which occurred on the night of Thursday to Friday in front of a nightclub in Saint-Péray, an Ardèche town located a few kilometers from Valence.

Nicolas Daragon, Minister Delegate for Daily Security and Mayor of Valence, visited the Polygone district on Friday around 10:30 p.m. He was accompanied by the prefect of Drôme, Thierry Devimeux. They notably met agents from the CRS 83, municipal, national and scientific police, reports France Bleu Drôme Ardèche. Nicolas Daragon and Thierry Devimeux went to rue Foch where the shooting took place.

The Minister Delegate in charge of Daily Security specified that announcements concerning “the fight against violence” will be made on November 8 by the Minister of the Interior Bruno Retailleau.
