Last Saturday, at the Palais des Sports in Cahors, the semi-final return took place between the U18 Occitanie of Pradines Lot Basket and their counterparts from Tarbes. After a 10-point defeat in Tarbes the previous Saturday, the protégés of Eldon Keïta and Stéphanie Lucianaz took great revenge by winning with a score of 73 to 42, a victory which therefore sent them to the final to compete for the title champions of Occitania. This meeting will be played on neutral ground this Sunday, June 9 at the Palais des Sports in Montauban, at 12:15 p.m., against Auch Basket Club, the other finalist who won their ticket by beating Montpellier. The supporters, already numerous last Saturday, are expected in force and in red and black to support the Beetles!
Let us recall the great journey of these young basketball players, residents of the U18 Sports Section of the Clément Marot high school in Cahors, who worked a lot during the season to achieve this result, by qualifying in the first phase for the upper group of the championship. Occitanie composed of 6 teams, finishing in 2nd place in this 2nd phase, giving them the right to compete in the semi-finals for the title. Mission accomplished with this great qualification for the final!
