Change your life, leave the city for the sweetness of life campaign in the Lot. “It’s a subject that speaks to everyone,” explains Laurent Touceul, songwriter and performerit's from song “I’ll go see the stars in Espédaillac”. In this title, he writes his story, that of a man who wishes to leave his city life, the grayness of Rouen, to live in Espédaillac, in the Lot.

Change life for the Lot, a song

Laurent Sortambosc, alias Laurent Touceul by his stage name, bought a house in Espédaillac, which he is in the process of renovating, with the idea of ​​moving there as soon as he can. Part of his family is already settled in the village. A dream of life change that he transcribed into song in the title “I will see the stars in Espédaillac”.

Although the song was released two years ago, the clip was filmed last summer in a single day, August 9, in the very heart of Espédaillac.

There we find the fields, the gariottes, the stone houses, the village square with the inn… But also the inhabitants, including the mayor, who took part in the game. A beautiful showcase for this commune in the Lot. “Everyone actively participated in the clip, it went wonderfully well, with remarkable sunshine, while in Rouen it was pouring rain. It’s precisely this contrast that I wanted to show” recalls Laurent Touceul. He also sang the song at the Espédaillac L'Oustal community bar, where he received a very warm welcome.

Already 8 albums

Alain Messier, harmonica player who accompanies him on all his projects, is present throughout the clip. Laurent Touceul is not his first attempt. He already has 8 self-produced albums to his credit, between acoustic French songs and children's songs (“The Cow in a Swimsuit”, which was adapted into a comic strip). “I will see the stars in Espédaillac” is the flagship song of his album of the same name, an EP which contains 6 tracks, 100% acoustic with guitar harmonica vocals. You can also listen to it on the Spotify and Deezer platforms. As for the clip, it is visible on YouTube.

Laurent Touceul practices his music in parallel with his professional activity, and composes in the evening, after returning from his work in the Aptar pharmaceutical laboratory in Val-de-Reuil.

He continues his musical creations, refocusing more on French songs than on music for children. He is also in the process of writing a new song about Espédaillac and les chemins de traverse, and next year he will release a “best-of” with the best songs from his different albums. We will obviously find “I will see the stars in Espédaillac”!

The artist is ready to take concert dates in the Lot where he returns as soon as he can, in order to continue to share his love for the region.
