The third edition of the Mayotte book caravan will be held this Saturday at the CCAS in Bouéni. 11 writers will be able to interact with the public and make signings. Traditional dances and a festive procession are also planned.

It’s the return of the traveling book fair. The third edition of the Mayotte book caravan will be held this Saturday, November 2 at the CCAS in Bouéni. This event is organized in partnership with the different municipalities of Mayotte with the aim of “promote the diversity of literary production from the department of Mayotte” et “encourage writing and reading.

For this edition, eleven writers will be honored. They will be able to interact with the public and sign their books. Nine young people from the town will present the results of writing workshops organized by the CCAS of Bouéni and a ceremony will honor Fatima Hamidouni, on the occasion of the publication of her work “Mayotte, the sea of ​​my words. ”

The municipality also announces the holding of a “festive procession” between the CCAS and the Place de l'Artisan, accompanied by traditional dances. The first edition of this caravan brought together around a hundred book enthusiasts at the beginning of September in Sada. The second stopover took place on September 28 in Mamoudzou.
