UA drama took place on Wednesday June 5, 2024 in a small town in Haute-Savoie in a home which welcomes minors. Around 10:30 a.m., one of them attacked one of his educators with a knife.
According to information from our colleagues at Le Messager, the 17-year-old, an unaccompanied minor, also kidnapped this educator and a colleague in his room and finally set it on fire. The fire spread to the entire floor of the establishment.
Initially, the police tried to neutralize the attacker with an electric pulse gun, which did not work. It was only after the gendarmes took the initiative to shoot him that the minor could be arrested. Seriously injured, he was taken to hospital.
The toll is heavy, the educator, who received several stab wounds, was urgently hospitalized. His vital prognosis is in jeopardy. The fireplace was partially destroyed by the flames.
Karline Bouisset, Bonneville public prosecutor, present on site, contacted the research section of the Chambéry gendarmerie for attempted murder.
