The installation of a crane for the delivery of electrical equipment will cause obstructions on LaSalle Boulevard. This work is taking place as part of the Verdun Hospital expansion and modernization project.

Date of work

  • June 5, 2024
    This work could be moved to another time if strong winds prevent the safe use of the crane.

Planned disturbances

  • Closure of a portion of the traffic lane on LaSalle Boulevard on the hospital side between Edna Street and de l’Église Street. The sidewalk and parking lane on the hospital side are also closed between rue Edna and rue de l’Église.
  • Parking ban on LaSalle Boulevard on the opposite side of the hospital, for a portion of the area located between Edna Street and de l’Église Street, in order to allow vehicle traffic in both directions.

Measures put in place

  • A security perimeter is installed around the site.
  • Pedestrians are invited to use the pedestrian crossing located at the corner of Edna Street and LaSalle Boulevard as well as the one located at the corner of LaSalle Boulevard and de l’Église Street in order to use the sidewalk on the opposite side of the hospital .
