Despite the reinstallation of two radarson both sides of this axis, the police keep this very busy road in their sights… An important control operation was carried out this Friday, May 31, 2024, at the level from Constance Boulevardin Fontainebleau (Seine et Marne), in the Paris-province direction.

134 cars checked and 31 fines in two hours

Some 32 police officers were engaged for this road safety operation, which comes a few days after the death of three people in one day on the roads of Seine-et-Marne. In two hours, the police controlled 145 people and 134 vehicles and have drawn up 31 tickets.

Around ten motorists were driving with a technical inspection fault. Four tortious offenses were noted: conduct despite a driving license suspension, one lack of driving license and two insurance defects. However, no speed infraction was noted that day, on this portion, limited to 50 km/h.

New checks to come

A dog specializing in the search for narcotics had also been mobilized, but no discovery was reported, according to the police. Given the very poor accident figures on the department’s roads, these checks will increase, particularly with the return of good weather.
