The Point-Justice in Cahors is very busy

The Point-Justice of Cahors moved in September 2022 from the courthouse to the Maison des associations, place Bessières. In order to give it greater visibility, the President of the Cahors Judicial Court, Sophie De Borggraef, had requested premises from the town of Cahors. A wise choice given the attendance figures at Point-Justice, which have doubled since the move. Nearly 1,800 people were received.

Faced with this increasing attendance, Sophie De Borggraef once again asked the City to have larger premises better suited to needs. The City’s response was once again positive.

The new features at Point-Justice in Cahors were announced on Friday May 24, on the occasion of National Access to Law Day: a new office, number 205; extended hours; new stakeholders.

As a reminder, Point-Justice brings together different partners who provide advice to all people who wish to better understand their rights and be supported in their procedures. This advice, accessible to everyone regardless of income, age, nationality, etc., is completely free. An initial telephone reception allows the person to be guided according to their request and to make an appointment with the various partners (consultations are free and confidential). On-site reception is provided on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for those who have difficulty expressing themselves by telephone.
