Marla Grayson is a tutor specializing in wealthy elderly people. At the expense of the latter, she leads a life of luxury thanks to her accomplices. Dr. Amos (Alicia Witt) gives him targets, then manipulates their medical records. Sam Rice (Damian Young) runs the nursing home that Marla sends her clients to. She can also count on her partner and lover, Fran (Eiza González). But his next victim, Jennifer Peterson, has important secrets that will prove rather dangerous…

This satirical thriller, with corrosive, offbeat and borderline humor, is by Jonathan Blakeson (“The Disappearance of Alice Creed”, “The Fifth Wave”, “Gunpowder”). In the lead role, actress Rosamund Pike (already extraordinary in “Gone Girl” by David Fincher) confirms her talent and also won the 2021 Golden Globes for Best Actress. Perfectly amoral, odious and greedy, Marla is ready to do anything to have the property of Jennifer Peterson, a falsely harmless-looking old lady, played by Dianne Wiest, interned and confiscated.
