On May 27, following a delivery of goods, a judicial police operation was launched by units of the Villeneuve-sur-Lot gendarmerie company. It is the culmination of several months of work, which began in January of this year.
In the first days of January 2024, the Villeneuve research brigade obtained information according to which a man, domiciled in Boudy-de-Beauregard, was engaged in trafficking in narcotics (cocaine and cannabis) and supplied illicit goods the northeast of the department.
The gendarmes carried out a search on May 27, which led to the dismantling of a trafficking network.

The investigations, undertaken under the direction of the Agen public prosecutor’s office, revealed the existence of a network, whose ramifications were established in the area of Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot, Casseneuil, Boudy-de- Beauregard and Allez-et-Cazeneuve. The main Source of supply of cocaine, domiciled in Bordeaux, regularly made trips, under escort, to Spain, in order to obtain supplies.
Weed and cocaine
The searches carried out led to the discovery of 36,404 euros in cash, 362 euros in foreign currencies (US dollar and Thai baths), as well as a banknote counting machine, game tickets (sports betting) for an amount of more than 62,000 euros used in two years, the seizure of 25,000 euros from bank accounts as well as the discovery of narcotics in number and of varied nature: 1.14 kg of cannabis resin, 1.3 kg of herbal cannabis, 44 grams of cocaine and 1 kg of white powder likely to be used as a cutting product, major brand clothing. More surprisingly, during the search, a primate, belonging to a protected species and illegally detained, was discovered.
At the end of police custody, the accused were brought in and presented for immediate appearance before the magistrates of the Agen judicial court. Two of them were placed under arrest warrant, pending the criminal hearing, which will take place on June 28.
